A bug-fix release of AC3D was posted over the weekend, and now it is gone. Andy pointed out to me that I had posted a build for Windows, but not Mac and Linux, a build error on my part.

I should be able to get all of the new tools (the AC3D patch, WED 1.1 beta 1, and a MeshTool release candidate) posted this week.

  1. A bug fix of the plugin, you mean? Could you elaborate on the bug… will it be in the ReadMe?

  3. Just wanted to know if it had anything to do with the intermittent "fatal errors" I get. Interestingly, while the dialog box announcing a "fatal error… must quit" waits for dismissal, the file can still be saved via the menu.

    It also chokes at times trying to rearrange hierarchies, even more often when the X-Plane Object Properties window is open. Cmd_tabbing to another app or the Finder and back seems to be the equivalent of a Heimlich maneuver for that.

    Hence my interest.

  4. vonhinx – please make sure that every bug you have seen is filed in the bug base. If it is in the bug base and is marked as open then I am aware of it but haven't fixed it yet.

  6. Would it be possible to add RED lines from the WED? … I know I can make them from LIN … but I see that there are yellow lines, white … Why not red?

    …and something much more important than that … Would it be possible to have lines (. LIN) with of texture night capacity? … Although I add a POL with a lighted platform effect … when night falls they all (I refer to LIN's) turn black. But when you illuminate them with landing/taxi lights they "recuperate" their color.

  7. Make the custom lines with .lin for now; the premade lines match the apt.dat spec, so if a line is not in apt.dat, you need to make it yourself.

    There is not yet a night lit line texture. If you have an art asset that you think would look good with night emissive lighting, please send me a png – I would like to see what the effect would be used for.
