Quick note: 10.21 beta 2 should be out today – that’ll fix crashes for Mac users.

WED 1.2 beta 2 — it’ll be at least a few days.  I have the submit-to-Robin code working, but I still have a number of export bugs open.

  1. WED 1.2 beta has problems with forests. Xplane complains about missing facades if I insert a forest. Furthermore it crashes if you build a street and connect start and end node.

    1. Hi Dave,

I only once posted to the news list (at Austin’s request) and I’m never going to do it again…I just got hit with tons of emails from random people asking me for random tech support help. But Austin was the one who posted the announcements normally – I’d suggest asking him!

      cheers
      Ben

  2. Hi Ben !

Off topic, well not so much : are you ‘independent’ for small version releases ?
I mean, do you have full autonomy to code intermediate versions, this 10.21 for example ? Or do Austin have the ‘last word’ on every versions ?

I guess he have to spend more time now with LR patent case…

Does this will have an impact on X-Plane development ?
I would understand if you cannot comment on the latter.
    Just to know…

    Cheers.
    Dave.

    1. Hi Dave,

Currently I make the final decision on when a release goes out; Austin and I consult on the overall plan for a release but he doesn’t have to manage the details of when we cut beta 2 vs hold it for another fix.

I can’t comment on the patent case, at least not while it’s on-going.

      cheers
      Ben

  3. A lot of sceneries are crashing with the .fac changes, unless you go in with WED and pull them all out they won’t load?

Frede’s latest KECP – Northwest Florida Beaches is a good example…

    1. I see your filed bug report…but…WHY is it that the scenery pack causing the crash is in the BLOG comment and not the BUG REPORT??!?!
